Description

The grapes undergo meticulous selection during hand-harvesting in plastic crates. Destemming and controlled-temperature fermentation follow, with skin maceration lasting approximately three weeks. Natural malolactic fermentation ensues. The wine ages for two years in small Rovere barrels (225 and 500 liters initially) and then in a larger barrel (2,500 liters). Finally, it rests in the bottle for an additional six months.

  • The wine derives its name from its intensely dark color ("moro" in Italian) and the medieval village near the vineyard known as "Moresco."
  • A captivating deep ruby red hue with hints of ruby that transform into orange reflections over time.
  • Despite its robust structure, this wine is remarkably smooth, filling the mouth instantly with a lingering fruit and plum aftertaste. An elegant tannin complexity is added by the aging process in Rovere barrels.
